The Mirror Ball provides an opportunity for guests to celebrate survivors, while also raising critical funds for research and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/smagazineofficial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/4-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55726\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smagazineofficial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/4-4.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/smagazineofficial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/4-4-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/smagazineofficial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/4-4-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/smagazineofficial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/4-4-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Courtesy of the Mirror Ball.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the gala, guests were encouraged to participate in a silent auction for prizes, including a seven-night stay in a luxury villa in Turks &amp; Caicos, a specially curated selection of individual vintage designer handbags (including a Valentino bag from Evelyn Lauder\u2019s private collection), and an extremely covetable pair of floor tickets to Taylor Swift\u2019s Eras Tour Concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Co-chaired by Sandy Santucci of Shoppers Drug Mart and Leah Thelen of Shiseido Canada, the evening\u2019s events started with a powerful performance from Juno Award-winning R&amp;B singer, Jully Black. Afterward, guests were treated to a delicious meal while the live auction began. I could attend my daughter\u2019s middle school graduation feeling good. In it she shared that she would be stepping back from her role after 10 years at the foundation\u2019s helm, due to evolving health issues.
