Business & Professional Women/St. Johnsbury

BPW is a bi-partisan organization that fosters the success of working women.

The National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs was founded on July 15, 1919. Throughout the years, three major issues shaped BPW’s legislative agenda: elimination of sex discrimination in employment, the principle of equal pay and the need for a comprehensive equal rights amendment.

St. Johnsbury was the first local organization in the Vermont Federation of Business and Professional Women. Founded on January 19, 1922, it is the longest continuously running Chapter in the State.
